FAQs

Permanent makeup is an innovative beauty enhancement technique that involves the strategic placement of pigments beneath the skin's surface. This procedure creates long-lasting designs that mimic traditional makeup applications, such as defined eyebrows, precise eyeliner, and enhanced lip color. The process utilizes a specialized needle to deposit colored granules into the upper dermal layers, resulting in a semi-permanent cosmetic effect. Depending on the intricacy of the desired outcome, each treatment typically requires 2.5 to 3 hours to complete. To ensure client comfort, a topical anesthetic is applied to numb the target area before the tattooing process begins.

Absolutely! Shaping is our expertise. We always begin by shaping and outlining the eyebrows prior to any permanent makeup procedure. The client will have the opportunity to approve both the shape and color of the eyebrows before we apply any pigment to the skin.
The durability of semi-permanent makeup is a complex issue, heavily influenced by individual factors such as skin type, body chemistry, and lifestyle choices. To ensure optimal results, we implement a two-step process: first, a follow-up appointment 4 to 6 weeks after the initial application to address any areas where pigment retention may be suboptimal; second, we advise all clients to schedule annual maintenance sessions for color refreshing. While results typically last between 1 to 3 years, this can vary significantly from person to person. As semi-permanent makeup is essentially a cosmetic tattoo, gradual fading is inevitable. Factors like sun exposure, skincare routines (chemical peels), and even certain nutritional deficiencies can impact pigment retention. To maintain the desired look, we strongly recommend yearly touch-ups, which help extend the longevity and vibrancy of the semi-permanent makeup.
Absolutely not. At Lasting Touch by Julie, we utilize only the highest quality pigments, ensuring that you won’t have to worry about your permanent make up changing to colors like blue or red. However, similar to all tattoos, the color will gradually fade over time. This is why we recommend annual maintenance for all clients to keep their permanent make up looking vibrant.
For the safety and well-being of all our valued clients, we kindly request that you follow these important guidelines prior to your visit: Please discontinue any retinal Vitamin A products and avoid chemical peels. Refrain from using blood-thinning substances, including caffeine, alcohol, and aspirin. Also, do not use Accutane. Additionally, we ask that you maintain good personal hygiene when entering our facility. These precautions help ensure a safe and comfortable experience for everyone.

Everyone’s skin has unique characteristics that influence how it absorbs and retains pigment. The way pigment settles and appears can vary significantly from person to person, depending on their specific skin type and composition.

Most clients typically need at least two sessions to achieve their ideal brow, eyeline, and lips perfection. Every new set of PMU and SMP are required 2 sessions to complete (Initial session+1st touch-up). Our prices include the complimentary 1st touch-up. Complimentary touch-up must be scheduled for at least 4-6 weeks after the initial appointment.

Annual touch-up is highly recommended to maintain fresh looking results.
